Job Description

Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager, MEP to join our Qatar office. Ideally Chartered and / or holding a certification in Project Management, with a minimum 15 years’ experience and a sound understanding of current mechanical engineering technologies in design, management and delivery of large institutional residential, commercial, educational, hotel and/ or hospital developments.

The successful candidate will possess the following.

• Lead and develop MEP team capabilities and skills.
• Manage coordination and delivery of MEP projects.
• A proven track record of delivering large-scale multidisciplinary sustainable building designs, on time and within budget in a commercial environment
• Ability to successfully manage clients and other significant internal and external stakeholders
• Extensive experience in mechanical services, including HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic and firefighting investigations and designs, fee proposals, winning jobs and negotiating contracts with clients.
• Knowledge of British, NFPA and CIBSE standards and requirements
• Strong technical report writing and documentation skills
• Extensive experience in using current technology analysis software for heat load calculations and energy modeling
• Dealing with local relevant authorities and obtaining building permits
• Experience with Building Information Management (BIM) is desirable
• Middle East experience and a working knowledge of design and construction practices specific to this region will be considered favorably
• Ability to build on the existing client database and build new client relations and assist the Business Group Manager in business development
• Leadership, time management and communications skills (English written and oral) is an essential
• In possession of or progressing towards MMUP (Grade A) registration.
