Lead Instrument Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Leading a team of 10-15 engineers for the assigned project.

· Instrument and controls system design responsibility; Overall supervision of instrument engineers, designers, and technical personnel in the execution of the project and the development of project deliverables

· Definition of plant overall controls architecture

· Ownership of I&C schedule and planning Prepare instrument cost, time, and resource requirement estimates on assigned projects.

· Manage design change within the project budget and schedule framework

· Effective interaction with the Contractor / Client engineering team for approval of design deliverables

· Participation in Site survey and data collection for instrument design

· Participation in design reviews, value engineering/safety workshops

· Understanding of Qatar Energy HSE Requirements

· Ensuring technical integrity of the instrument deliverables for the project. Ensure compliance with the work scope and with applicable international standards.

· Functional Safety Certification is preferred.

Skills / Qualifications:

· Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control)

· Minimum 15 years of Instrumentation & Control engineering experience in oil and gas projects, with a minimum of 5 years in Qatar

· Minimum of 3 years of experience leading an engineering team in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

· Must be approved in Qatar Energy Onshore / other Qatar Energy groups as Lead Engineer.

· Has led Medium-Large (10000+ I&C Man-hours) Scale projects with Qatar Energy or other GCC companies.

· Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with sufficient experience in different discipline areas

· Communication skills (excellent command of both spoken and written English)

· Computer skill
