Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Design Engineer specializing in Instrumentation and Control Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Contributing to the development and application of project-specific instrumentation processes.
- Providing complete instrumentation services while meeting project goals and constraints.
- Managing interfaces with other disciplines and departments.
- Reviewing and commenting on P&ID diagrams for instrumentation components.
- Creating and updating the Instrumentation List using SPI.
- Defining and verifying specifications for instrumentation equipment, including cryogenic and warm valves, flowmeters, transmitters, sensors, analyzers, and PLC cabinets.
- Supervising subcontracted instrumentation studies and establishing specifications.
- Coordinating instrumentation activities across multiple company engineering and construction centers.
- Preparing technical specifications for site works contracts related to instrumentation.
- Managing and maintaining the drawing file in collaboration with the Project Engineer.
- Overseeing critical instrumentation equipment such as control-command systems, analyzers, and control cabinets.
- Supporting erection and commissioning teams.
- Assisting the Services Department in areas like spare parts, additional material needs, revamping, and client equipment specification approvals.
