Job Description (in brief):
- Supervise 3D Piping & Equipment modelling and design.
- Supervise production of piping general arrangements and Isometrics.
- Pipe stressing using Caesar II and hand calculations.
- Piping Specifications (Pipe and valve specification, Pipe Supports, Insulation, Painting etc)
- Piping MTOs, Schedule and Lists
- Review subcontractor’s design team (2D and 3D) to produce and check drawings, including but not limited to, plot plans, Equipment Layout, general arrangements, isometrics, support layouts, Piping Standard detail drawing, Piping support special details etc.
- Information to other disciplines (platforms, nozzle orientation and special pipe supports).
- As built data collection.
- Tie-in data collection.
- Review technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor data review, material and equipment inspections etc.
- Assistance with tender packages including BOQ, tender documents, scope of work etc.
- Frequent travel to attend site for manual isometrics of site run pipelines
- Mentor and Advise on all piping issues
- Review, check and comment subcontractor’s engineering and design works.
- Able to perform quantity survey and prepare bill of quantities for RFQs of procurement of material.
- Analysis of design issues and recommendation of corrective actions.
- Participate in weekly/monthly technical discussions and solve design discrepancies if any.
- Able to propose cost effective design solutions.
Profile of candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in oil & gas, petrochemical projects
- Command of Arabic and English languages is preferred
- Experience in EPC environment
- At least 1 ADNOC Onshore EPC project in UAE
Computer Skills:
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, Power point
· Caesar II, Auto pipe
· PDMS, E3D
· PDS, SM3D, AutoCAD 3D, CAD Pipe, CAD Works or equivalent software (added advantage)
· Auto CAD
· Microstation
· Lisp
· Smart Plant Review
· Navisworks
