Health and Safety Manager – Offshore Operations

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for offshore operations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide guidance and support on health and safety matters to offshore personnel
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for offshore employees
- Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with management and project teams to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and initiatives
- Communicate health and safety requirements and expectations to contractors and subcontractors
- Develop emergency response plans and procedures for offshore operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in health and safety management, with specific experience in offshore operations
- Experience in the Oil & Energy industry is highly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of offshore safety regulations and best practices
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and engage others in health and safety initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with offshore personnel and contractors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable
- Willingness to travel to offshore locations as required
